The challenge

TikTok needed to establish a commanding brand presence at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos 2026, demonstrating how the platform drives education, economic growth and cultural exchange among global business and political leaders. They didn’t just want to share stories, but to educate, build livelihoods, and unlock new opportunities. From artisans reaching global markets to educators making complex ideas simple, we wanted to showcase TikTok is where discovery becomes growth.

The challenge was multifaceted: create an experiential activation on the highly competitive main promenade that would welcome C-suite executives and world leaders, facilitate meaningful engagement rather than passive brand exposure, while simultaneously managing complex VIP travel logistics, accommodations, and a separate evening reception.

TikTok set ambitious targets: driving 10+ scheduled executive meetings, achieving 70% demo participation among attendees, and optimizing space utilization throughout the week.

Identity was selected to deliver a premium experience that met the sophisticated expectations of WEF attendees while maintaining TikTok’s distinctive brand energy.

Approach

Our approach centered on understanding TikTok’s business objectives at WEF and translating them into tangible experiences. Working closely with our client team, we developed four distinct interactive demos aligned with TikTok’s key pillars: powering small businesses and artisans, content creation as education and discovery, and elevating culture and community. Rather than passive displays, each demo invited participation and sparked conversation, transforming attendees from observers into engaged participants.

The demos showcased real stories, from artisans reaching global markets to educators simplifying complex ideas, illustrating how discovery on TikTok becomes growth and opportunity.

Our creative design balanced TikTok’s energetic, creator-driven brand identity with the gravitas and sophistication expected at Davos. We created an environment that felt approachable and human while maintaining credibility among world leaders. The space design encouraged flow and dwell time, with distinct zones for browsing, deeper engagement, and private conversations.

Identity also managed logistics including accommodations, VIP transfers, and the off-site reception, ensuring seamless executive experiences throughout the week. The evening reception extended TikTok’s presence along the promenade, creating intimate networking opportunities that complemented the main activation.

Result

The activation successfully elevated TikTok’s presence at WEF, positioning them as a sophisticated platform engaging meaningfully with global leaders.

Across the week, we welcomed 235 total attendees through the space and facilitated 28 booked executive meetings – more than doubling TikTok’s target of 10+ high-value conversations.

The interactive demos drove strong engagement: 60 guided demo tours were conducted, with attendees spending meaningful time exploring the experiences. The main promenade location generated significant foot traffic from target C-suite and government attendees, with strong dwell time indicating genuine interest.

Feedback from TikTok executives and their guests was positive, with particular praise for how the demos translated TikTok’s platform value into tangible, understandable impact for business and policy leaders.
