]Following on from the success of our first digital evening in January, Identity held its second digital event on Friday 26th May at The View Hotel in Eastbourne. Around fifty local businesses attended to learn about the latest digital marketing techniques, presented by Identity’s Head of Digital Shéa Bennett. The evening began with registration around a glass of wine accompanied by some delicious canapés. Whilst networking, guests entered our main competition, where they were asked to defend why they deserved to win a bottle a champagne.

Attendees also had fun with our Play Your Stats Right gameattempting to guess higher and lower from the latest digital marketing statistics. Our Facebook frame competition offered the chance to win a meal at The View Hotel. After these activities, Identity’s Managing Director Michael Gietzen welcomed our guests to the event and reminded them why it is now essential that they include digital marketing in their business plan. Identity’s Head of Digital Shéa Bennett then spoke for an hour about different social media platforms, such as Facebook and Snapchat, and emphasised the importance of using them to improve your online presence and digital marketing strategy. He also talked about one of the biggest technology trends – voice search and why businesses must improve their SEO to capture traffic from devices such as the Amazon Echo, Google Home and Apple’s Siri.

Other topics covered in Shéa’s presentation included mobile, email marketing and reputation management. We would also like to reveal the winner of the Facebook frame competition. Congratulations to Phil Hicks of Combe Valley Campers. We hope you enjoy your meal for two at The View Hotel.

Thank you to everyone who attended our digital event, this evening was a great success which received lots of positive feedback. We hope to see you all again at an Identity event in the future.
