Identity recently sponsored and competed in the Eastbournian Society’s Foundation Annual Golf Challenge at The Royal Golf Club in Eastbourne, helping raise funds for the Peter Bibby Award.

The team comprised of Identity Director’s Michael Gietzen and Rob Gietzen, Dominic Groenen from Balfour Beatty and Gino Forte from Forte Developments and Embassy Grand Café and Late Lounge.

Over the sunny but slightly windy afternoon the Identity team competed against 18 other teams and finished second overall, losing to the winners by one shot. Rob also walked away with a personal prize after winning the longest drive competition. Congratulations!

We proudly sponsored the 2nd hole on the course. On the hole we provided a fun photo op for all the golfers with our personalised giant deck chair – perfect for the summer day.

The afternoon was lots of fun and was carried on into the night with an evening dinner and charity auction which helped to raise money for the Peter Bibby Award, which provides bursary funding for a place at Eastbourne College. Final figures are still being calculated, but the money raised from the annual golf challenge is expected to be at least £13,000!

Team Identity had a fantastic time competing and for such a great cause. We look forward to coming back next year and (hopefully) taking the crown!
